Venice Film Festival: Best Dressed

Last week were the 68th Venice Film Festival, and the stars went all out.

Keira Knightley looked summery and chic as she stepped off a boat in an Orla Kiely shirt dress, Ralph Lauren sunglasses, and Tabitha Simmons loafer heels.

Gwyneth Paltrow wowed on the red carpet for her film Contagion in this blush pink gown from Prada. She finished the look with a clutch from the brand, and Vernice platform pumps, and Bvlgari earrings.

Jessica Chastain continued her best dressed streak in a Gucci gown from the 2012 Resort collection as she received an award at the 2011 Gucci Award for Woman in Cinema event.

Selma Hayek look beautiful in a crystal embellished Gucci Premiere gown at the Gucci Women in Cinema event. She complemented the look with a sleek updo and making smoky eye.

Marisa Tomei attended the premiere of her film Ides of March in a long sleeve Marios Schwab dress in electric yellow with a pearl embellished neckline.

Diane Kruger attended the festival's opening dinner in a black and white Chanel ensemble with a matching striped clutch.

Bar Refaeli showed off her assets in a black Emilio Pucci jumpsuit on the red carpet.

At a photocall for Carnage, Kate Winslet paired her LBD with a tan blazer, and matching shoes. A House of Lavande bracelet and gold hoops finished off the look.

British actress Andrea Riseborough looked regal was she walked the red carpet at the W.E. premiere in a Christian Dior Couture gown, Chopard chandelier earrings, and a gold Raven Kauffman Couture clutch.

Also at the W.E. premiere, Natasha Poly wore a red silk chiffon scarf gown, gold python heels, and a gold box clutch all from Gucci's fall collection.

Sofia Vergara supported her TV husband Ed O'Neill as he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in a draped LWD with a beaded waistline, leopard print Louboutins, and Adeler jewellery.



Sarah Jessica Parker attended a press event for her movie I Don't Know How She Does It in London wearing a printed Prabal Gurung dress and glitter heels.

MTV VMA's: Best Dressed

MTV had there annual Video Music Awards, even though we all know they don't play videos on MTV any more. Nevertheless, the awards show is known for it's wacky fashions (Lady Gaga's meat dress anyone?), and although last night had it's share, for the most part the stars who walked the "black carpet" did so in style.

Beyonce announced she was pregnant by showing off her baby bump in a one-shoulder Lanvin gown. She completed the look in Rene Caovilla heels and some serious jewellery.

Selena Gomez matched the black carpet in an edgy lace "mullet dress" from Julien MacDonald, with a plunging back. She added some sparkle to her look with gold Brian Atwood pumps, Judith Leiber clutch, and Ofira cuff.

Newlywed Kim Kardashian attended the awards in a silver sequinned gown from Kaufman Franco.

Adele was sleek in a black Burberry dress with an Art-Deco neckline, and black pumps.
Katie Holmes posed on the black carpet in a Alaia dress and Proenza Schouler boots.
Presenter Zoe Saldana rocked the black carpet in a leather panelled Barbara Bui mini and snakeskin platforms. A Lanvin clutch and Ofira cuff completed the ensemble.
Also in a black minidress was Kelly Rowland, who went for a gold and feather-embellished one from Falguni & Shane Peacock. Spiked Christian Louboutin pumps and Bavna jewellery rounded off the look.
Victoria Justice went for sparkle in a sequinned Theia dress and chain embellished Rock and Republic pumps.
With a tan rivalling Snookie's, Demi Lovato also went for sparkle in a silver Mandalay mini with a plunging neckline, and gunmetal Louboutins.

Maria Menounos went for colour on the black carpet in a front-zip dress by Amanda Wakeley. Giuseppe Zanotti metallic heels and a Lana Marks clutch rounded out the look.

Looks of the Week

It's the end of the week, and that means it's time to take a look back at who was best dressed this week.



Jennifer Love Hewitt attended Project Angel Food's Angel Awards in a bright white dress with gold detailing. She finished the look with metallic accessories and a newly cropped 'do.



At Disney's D23 Expo, Scarlett Johansson wore a pop of colour in a Roland Mouret sheath paired with nude heels.



Julianne Moore hosted an event in a colour-blocked Bogetta Veneta dress and snakeskin shoes.



Rose Byrne stopped by the Late Show with David Letterman studios in a Dolce & Gabbana dress and high platform Sergio Rossi pumps.



Jessica Chastain attended the NYC screening of her movie The Debt in a Christian Dior dress, Harry Winston jewels, and nude Louboutin heels. And check out this style star's other great looks from the week here, and here.



Anne Hathaway walked the red carpet at the London premiere of her latest movie One Day in a white lace Alexander McQueen sheath with caramel shoes and skull clutch from the label. To top it off she added over $100,000 in Tiffany & Co. jewellery.



Columbiana star Zoe Saldana walked the red carpet at the movie's premiere in an on-trend leather dress from Valentino. Complementing the look was rose gold Irene Neuwirth jewellery, woven Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and nude pumps.

Lake Bell flashed some skin at an LA screening of A Good Old Fashioned Orgy in a Cushnie et Ochs dress, paired with an M.C.L by Matthew Campbell Laurenza cuff, Lena Erziak miniaudiere, and Ferragamo pumps.



At a dinner hosted by Ferragamo, Minka Kelly donned a flowing LBD and purple pumps from the label.



Leighton Meester attended the debut of Vera Wang's latest fragrance, Lovestruck, for which she is the face,  in a  belted dress from the designer's Lavender line. She added Van Cleef & Arpels jewels, and black Jimmy Choo pumps to complete the look.

The past few weeks, Lady Gaga has been stepping out in looks that are a bit of a departure for you usual out there looks. Some are downright demure. Gone is the green hair and leather, in it's place is long, sleek blonde looks and couture from designers like Versace and Tom Ford.
