Jessica Simpson Returns to Reality

Jessica Simpson is returning to television. This time she will be a mentor to up-and-coming designers on NBC's Fashion Star- a show that sounds a lot like Project Runway, but one that producers insist is nothing like it (focusing more on mass market rather than high fashion).
Jessica, of course, has an insanely popular fashion company, one that experts speculate could reach the $1 billion mark this year. So she knows a little something about designing clothes for the masses, something the new show will focus on. Says Elle MacPherson, host of the new show, "We're not looking for someone to create a couture dress for the Oscars. We want someone who can design lingerie, swimwear, denim- accessible things that regular people wear". 
Jessica won't be a judge, as winners will be decided by viewers, but more like a Tim Gunn style mentor.
