If you love Chanel but don't love the high price tag, you are in luck. Macy's is now allowing you to get your Lagerfeld and still have money left for rent. The creative director for both Chanel and Fendi has teamed up with the mass retailer for a capsule collection for the fashionable every-woman. “To me Macy’s is the perfect department store in the U.S. where everybody can find what they’re looking for without ruining their budget,” the designer said in a statement. "That's why I am happy to make this limited edition collection just for Macy's."
Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse is will available at Macy's stores and at macys.com starting Aug.31, and is said to have a "sophisticated aesthetic" featuring chic silhouettes and modern twists, this according to a release.
Macy's recently released a couple sketches from the collection saying the hardest part of the collaboration was editing, "He had so many great ideas." What they managed to get it down to is 45 styles consisting of "statement jackets, tweeds, novelty fabrics, and dresses", with leggings and graphic tee's thrown into the mix as well (after all you'll need something to wear with those statement jackets). The pieces will range in price from $50-$170 and will have a limited run of six to eight weeks (possible less if Legerfeld's collaboration with H&M is to be any indication, which sold out within days). So if you want to get your hands on Legerfeld for less, you'll have to get to Macy's early.
